I'm a Finnish-Dutch artist, organiser and teacher living in Amsterdam-Noord. In my work I explore the revolutionary potential of collective creativity. As an autodidact DJ, filmmaker and anarchist, clubs are my art school and protests my phd.

ROXY
The video RoXY by artist Juha van't Zelfde outlines the social, political and cultural climate from 1945-1999 in Amsterdam. Johan Huizinga's 1938 book Homo Ludens (Man at Play) provides the starting point for an exploration of radical events in the history of club culture. Documentary footage of protests and art movements merge into partying crowds and early electronic dance music at Club RoXY. A new culture for a new society, in search of freedom and collective joy.
