I'm a Finnish-Dutch artist, educator and organiser living in Amsterdam-Noord. In my work I explore the revolutionary potential of collective creativity. As an autodidact DJ, filmmaker and anarchist, clubs are my art school and protests my phd.

Solidarity was a third-year undergraduate course at the department Design, Art & Technology at ArtEZ Academy of the Arts in Arnhem. Formerly known as the course Solidarity—its name from for the first three years since its inception in 2013—its main goal was for students to create a collaborative work and present this at the end of the year. By doing this, they would have a dress rehearsal for the stressful graduation year ahead, and would have gained the experience of working with their classmates, knowing better what each other's wants, haves and needs are.
Solidarity was the first university course I had created, developed and executed. It is the soil in which courses such as Collective Creativity and Studio Vrije Ruimte, and programmes such as Shadow Channel and Resolution could germinate.
I am grateful for Martijn van Boven for his invitation to develop it, and his trust, commitment and, well, solidarity to see this through for so many years. My gratitude also goes out to all the students who were willing to go on this pedagogical journey together, may you have had joy along the way.
