Dutch art magazine Mister Motley invited me for their hour-long podcast series Kunst Is Lang, and republished it during their summer series Zomer Is Lang.
"This week Juha van 't Zelfde is a guest at Kunst is Lang. Juha works as a DJ, teacher, filmmaker and organiser with the idea of collective creativity. For example, in designing club evenings in which everyone can be completely themselves and contribute to an open atmosphere, in workshops that revolve around the question of how you can make the club scene operate in a climate-just way, but just as easily in a collage documentary in which longer historical lines of collective creativity are indicated: from black jazz musicians in the Amsterdam of the 1920s, through ideas of the Dada movement, CoBrA, and Provos, to the emergence of an iconic free place like the Amsterdam discotheque RoXY.
