Finnish–Dutch culture worker, educator, and creative director. For nearly two decades I’ve built collective infrastructures across pedagogy, club culture, and social action — from Viral Radio to Progress Bar and Good Praxis — exploring how sound, image, and community can foster solidarity, joy, and climate action.

The Bimhuis is the oldest and most important venue in Amsterdam for live jazz and improvised music. It was founded in 1973 by the Bond voor Improviserende Musici (BIM, the union of improvising musicians). They asked Huub van Riel to be their director. He remained the director for 44 years, and he retired in 2017.
Huub gave me the opportunity to organise tens of concerts between 2006 and 2014, and develop what he called "a series that isn't a series" of new electronic music. With his retirement, the last radical artistic director in music in the Netherlands left the stage.
Some of the artists I have invited to play here are Vladislav Delay, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Evan Parker, Flying Lotus, Hild Sofie Tafjord, Ben Frost, Philip Jeck, Oval, Icarus, Ras G, Dean Blunt, Mike Slott and Hudson Mohawke.
