I'm a Finnish-Dutch artist, educator and organiser living in Amsterdam-Noord. In my work I explore the revolutionary potential of collective creativity. As an autodidact DJ, filmmaker and anarchist, clubs are my art school and protests my phd.

VIRAL RADIO
Viral Radio was first a radio programme for new electronic music I presented at NPS Lijn5 in 2006, and later at VPRO 3VOOR12, ResonanceExtra and Red Light Radio.

Within months of the first radio show Viral Radio became a nomadic club night, traveling between clubs in Amsterdam such as Paradiso, 11 and OT301, before becoming a monthly night of new electronic music at TrouwAmsterdam from its opening in March 2009, until 2011, and an irregular series at Bimhuis, from 2006 until 2014, when I moved to Brighton to become artistic director of Lighthouse. It is at Lighthouse that Viral Radio evolved into Progress Bar.

Over the years, Viral Radio presented some of the most vanguard producers and DJs in club culture, such as Hudson Mohawke, Rustie, Joker, Flying Lotus and Kode9 & The Spaceape. Viral didn't just stay in the clubs: at Bimhuis, Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ and North Sea Jazz Festival it brought together musicians such Philip Jeck, Hildur Gudnadottir, Evan Parker, Hild Sofie Tafjord and Ras G.

The events have been favourably featured in national newspapers in the Netherlands from the start, and are often mentioned as foundational to music lovers in Amsterdam.

"The most cutting edge event in Amsterdam, hands down." Time Out Amsterdam
